Good evening band families, this email is a bit long, but please read entire email, plus look at attachments.
Band camp week has arrived and we are excited for the Marching Hawks to begin their 2023 marching season!
Mr. Dailey sent out information regarding band camp through the campus messenger, please refer to that for all your band camp information.
While the kids are working hard this week, we would like to provide them with a morning fruit break and an afternoon popsicle break, there are still a couple of slots open on our Sign Up Genius, if you are able to help out with either setting up/serving, or bringing fruit or popsicles, please see the Sign Up Genius link below.
We also have a couple openings on our Uniform fitting sign ups, if you are able to help with that, there are no sewing skills required, just helping out our uniform chair with fitting the students into their uniforms, that sign up link is also at the bottom.
On Friday of this week at 4pm we will have our Show N' Tell. Mr. Dailey will have the students show you what they have been working hard on throughout the week, then we will have a quick parent meeting. The band parents will be feeding the band students and staff a hot dog dinner, you are able to purchase a hot dog dinner for yourself and other family members for $5. The $5 will get you a hot dog, bag of chips, cookie and bottle of water. All proceedes from the hot dog dinner will go to the general fund. Attached is an RSVP form, please fill that out by Thursday so we know how many hot dogs to purchase.
This Tuesday after band camp, take your student to Menchie's at the Orchard for a well earned sweet treat! If you go anytime between 1pm & 7pm and mention that you are with Horizon Band and we will recieve a portion of the earnings.
Please remember to send me your King Soopers Community Rewards snapshot by Tuesday to have the funds applied to your student's account.
Another great way to raise money for your student's band account is by using the Raise Right App, I have attached the fliers which have the QR code to use to sign up.
The updated band calendar is attached, please look at it carefully as a couple event dates have changed, plus football game dates have been added.
