Good Evening Band Families!
I hope everyone enjoyed their summer and are ready to head back to school tomorrow!
This week there is NO REHEARSAL Tuesday night since the school is having back to school night.
Saturday, we have our annual Mile of Money Fundraiser at the HillTop shopping center from 10-12. There are 2 parts to this fundraiser. The in person portion is Saturday at the King Soopers on 136th. The students play pep tunes for roughly 2 hours while parent volunteers collect money. The second portion is online. The students will be asked for email addresses to send out information about the band to friends and family that they know asking for donations to the band. This is our biggest fundraiser every year, last year we were able to collect over $20,000 for the band, please help come up with email addresses for your student, your student will be receiving more information about this during band class.
We need more parents to volunteer to help with pit crew. Each performance requires about 25 people to help haul pit/props, we only have 21 people that are interested in helping so far, if you would be interested in helping, please let me know and I will add your name to the list.
