Good afternoon band families!
Reminders for this week:
Tuesday rehearsal from 5:30-8:30pm
Wednesday - after school sectionals, check with your student for section specific times
Thursday - 1st football game! The students will stay after school to continue rehearsal, the band boosters will feed them dinner, they will then head to the stadium for the game, they will head home after the game, hoping to be back to the school around 10pm.
We still need parents to sign up for the Hawk Haulers, the sign-up genius went out to those who were interested, if you would like to be added to the list, let me know! This is a very important job, we help the students bring front ensemble instruments and props out onto the field for all competitions and football games, if you have more questions, or would like the sign up, let me know!
I am attaching the form for selling tickets for the In & Out portion of our Showcase. The Showcase will be held on Saturday September 10. This has two parts to it. First is the In & Out food truck. We are selling tickets in advanced for In & Out, each ticket is $5 for a burger, chips and a drink, for each ticket your student sells, they will get $3.75 into their band account. This form, plus money needs to be turned into Mr. Daily by September 6. The band boosters will not be feeding the students, so if your student would like to eat In & Out they will need to purchase a ticket, we are not able to sell tickets to the In & Out truck the day of the event. There will also be a Hawaiian Ice truck available for purchasing desert. The second part to this event is the Showcase. The students will be performing their show and other tunes for the crowd. This will cost $5 at the gate (kids 12 & under are free) which will benefit the general fund. This is a great opportunity to come see what your student has been working so hard on! Invite the whole family for this afternoon out with dinner and a show.
