Hello Band Parents, Below I have written out how to utilize the opportunities that we have to fundraise for the band throughout the year. Along with that, I want to fill you in on some great deals happening this month. 1. King Soopers: It is that time again to send in a screenshot of or the link to your quarterly statement so that your student can be properly credited. Please email them to horizonbandparents@gmail.com. (Any unclaimed money goes into the general fund.) 2. ShopwithScrip: BonusFest will happen October 9th-31st. They are offering Bonus Days every Friday and Saturday featuring different brands each weekend. Bonuses start at 12am EST and end at 1159pm EST. ALL giftcard types are included. Check it out online: shop.shopwithscrip.com. 3. Amazon Smiles: Prime Day is happening both October 13 and 14th. With these 2 days of deals, you can order what you would have anyway, save some money, AND donate to the band all at the tips of your fingers. On-going/Yearly Fundraisers: Shop with Scrip Shop with Scrip is our year round band fundraiser. You earn money from your everyday shopping if you purchase an e-gift card and pay for all of your purchases with the e-gift card. This includes over 700 department stores, restaurants, grocery stores, entertainment, travel etc. By purchasing e-scrip cards for all the stores you shop at you will earn between 2.5% and 20% depending on the merchant. You get 100% of the gift card value to shop with and then the rebate amount is sent to our band program. ***The band splits the rebate 75/25 between the individual students account and the general fund for the band, with 75% going to the students account. Use the app on your phone to purchase the e-gift card while you are shopping and then pay right at the register. King Soopers Community Rewards
King Soopers Community Rewards is one of the easiest ways that you can earn money for your student by doing what you do all of the time...buying groceries! First you need to get a King Soopers Loyalty Card. Then go to the King Soopers webpage: www.kingsoopers.com/topic/king-soopers-community-rewards. Get yourself registered and follow the steps to choose the organization that you want to support. You will choose "Horizon High School Band Parent Association". The NPO is VY393. Please read the details to know what products will and will not reap the benefits of this reward program. Unfortunately fuel, pharmacy and gift cards are not included. Your regular grocery shopping has so many products though. Every quarter we will send an email out to the band parents reminding you that it is time to email us your quarterly statement. That amount will then be deposited into your student's individual account from the balance given to us from King Soopers. If there is any money not claimed by an individual student, it will go into the general fund. It's a win-win situation.
***This fundraiser is to support the funds of your student's band account. There is a small amount that will be put into the general fund as well if not claimed.
AmazonSmile
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with all of the same products that you would find on Amazon.com. The difference with AmazonSmile is that when you shop there, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the organization of your choice.
