Weekly Update - Dec 6, 2022
Good evening band families,
We are close to the end of the semester, but there is so much going on during these next two weeks!
We still have slots available for the Fun Services event this Saturday. We have two 9-1 openings and three openings in the 1-5 slot. If you are interested please sign up on the sign up genius that has been sent out, this is a great opportunity to raise some money for your students account.
The sock fundraiser is going on now until December 18th. The students signed up for this fundraiser in class, 100% of funds raised during this fundraiser goes into your students account. This is the last fundraiser before the last trip payment that is due in January.
If you are going on the big trip and your student is a senior, make sure to check their account and use any remaining funds for the trip! Go to the band website and use the password bandfees2021 to check student account balances.
We still have over 45 students that have NOT paid their band fees. If you haven't paid, or need to set up a payment plan, please reach out, these fees help to support all the bands activities throughout the year.
This week we have the band concert on Thursday at 7pm. During this concert we will be hosting a silent auction. The baskets are valued anywhere from $30-$100. Starting bids will be from $10-$40. Come early to bid on your favorite basket. The baskets would make excellent Christmas presents. We will accept Venmo, Paypal, credit card, or cash.
Next Tuesday, December 13th, the Jazz bands will be playing at 6:30pm.
The band stickers will be available for purchase at both concerts for $2 each.
Lastly, if your student got Butter Braid orders, they will be available for pick up (or sent home with your student) on Friday December 9th at 1pm in the auditorium lobby. Remember, they are frozen.
Thank you all for a wonderful semester of supporting the Horizon Bands. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!
