More Spring Happenings!
Updated: Apr 29, 2022
Hello Band Families!
I hope everyone had a long and restful spring break! I know the band students earned it, with just in the first half of the semester we have quite a bit to celebrate! All three jazz bands had an excellent concert with the Rocky Top and Century Jazz, and then followed up with Excellent and Superior Ratings at the Mile High Jazz Festival. The Concert Bands had a wonderful performance with the 8th grade Rocky Top Band a few weeks back after going to the CBA Festival receiving Good and Superior ratings, respectively. On top of all of that, the students went to 10 different Basketball Games, we had Anastasia rehearsals and performances, and we had 27 students go to the Scott Lang Leadership Workshop right before break. What a way to welcome a normal semester of band back into our lives (and schedules) after so much time off.
I think we sometimes forget that Spring is much busier for the program than the fall season, which slows down fast after the marching season is over. I’m incredibly proud of our student’s dedication, hard work, and commitment to making our bands excellent and fun to be a part of. With all that being said, we only have a little more push to Summer and the kickoff of the new Marching Hawks Season! As a side note, I will be sending this email through Campus AND the BPA, so I apologize if you get this multiple times, I just really want to make sure everyone is getting the information! Here is what is coming up in the program:
