Good Evening Band Families,
I hope everyone is enjoying their summers. I wanted to send out an email about upcoming events. There is a lot of information, please read the entire email.
-We will be starting our peach fundraiser the first week in August. We will be limited to 225 boxes from the peach orchard, each box will be sold for $55. This fundraiser will go towards your student's account. The peaches will be ready mid August.
-We would like to update our car sticker and reusable bag logo, plus add a color guard sticker. We sell these stickers and bags as a fundraiser for our general fund throughout the year. We would like to ask the kids to design our next sticker! If your student is artistic, have them draw out their design and submit the design to Mr. Dailey during the week of band camp (by Wednesday), we will have the band and color guard members vote on the design. We will have the winner on display at the band parent meeting/potluck, Friday evening after band camp. We will take orders for stickers and bags at the potluck.
-If your student has any food allergies or preferences ie. vegan/vegetarian, please email me and let me know, our food committee would like to begin planning meals for the season and we want to make sure we are able to accommodate all our students.
-Please be on the lookout for Sign Up Genius emails! We will be asking for parents to bring in fruit and popsicles for breaks during band camp and for helping with uniform fittings. The sign ups will be coming out in a couple weeks.
-Lastly, every year we help Music and Arts go to middle schools for instrument rentals as a fundraiser. You can only help if you attend the training session, this will most likely be held the week of band camp, we are finalizing the evening and time and will let you know soon.
