Hello HHS Band Family!
I hope that you are all enjoying summer and getting some time away! As you know our program has been through some transition with Mrs. Fleeman stepping into her new administrative role at HHS, thus initiating a search for a new director of bands. After an exhaustive process including a ten person shareholder interview committee, we have identified Mr. Tim Dailey as the Horizon High School Director of Bands. Mr. Dailey comes to us from Pomona High School where he began rebuilding their program after numerous directorships. His commitment to strong musicianship, a band family and excellence came through in his interview and subsequent reference checks.
Yesterday, Mr. Dailey spent some time with staff and students. Both groups were incredibly gracious and welcoming! In the next few weeks he will be transitioning to spend more time at Horizon and is excited about becoming part of the work that the team has already begun planning for next year. This includes meeting with the drill writer today and the Band Parent Board next week. Please help us in welcoming Mr. Dailey to Hawk Nation and the Band Family!
Plan on attending the marching band camp parent performance Friday, August 4th (time TBD). At this event you will have an opportunity to meet and interact more with Mr. Dailey.
