Students and Parents,
The Legacy Marching Festival grants us the opportunity to perform our 2015 show in our own school district at the Adams 12 Five-Star Stadium (across the street from Thornton High School). What a great way to begin the competition season. I know the festival day will include a great performance from our HHS Marching Hawks, helpful and insightful critique from some of the best marching band educators in the nation, and the opportunity to see other outstanding bands from Colorado. Let’s make this a great day for the HHS Marching Hawks. Parents, please consider attending the festival (plan to arrive by 8:40 a.m.; park at THS and take the foot-bridge over Washington Street to the stadium). It means so much to have you there, and we want to hear your cheers of support as we enter and exit the field! Let’s roll!

Performance Itinerary
6:15 a.m. Call time @ H.H.S.
Change into uniform
6:45 a.m. Load buses (in uniform, with instruments in cases)
6:50 a.m. Leave for Adams Five-Star Stadium
7:20 a.m. Arrive @ Adams Five-Star Stadium
Unload buses/instruments, get stamped, final uniform prep
7:40 a.m. Winds/Percussion - Body Warm-Up (Site A)
8:00 a.m. Pit Warm-Up (Site A)
8:10 a.m. Winds/Percussion - Move to Music Warm-Up
8:15 a.m. Music Warm-Up (Site A)
8:30 a.m. Pit moves to On Deck
8:45 a.m. Winds/Percussion - Move to On-Deck
8:50 a.m. ALL On-Deck
9:00 a.m. HHS Marching Hawks Show Time! “A Story of the Heart”
9:15 a.m. To Equipment area/put away instruments
9:45 a.m. Watch other bands (Doherty, Northglenn, Englewood)
10:30 a.m. Move back to buses, Load buses
10:45 a.m. Depart for H.H.S.
11:15 a.m. Arrive H.H.S., Change out of uniforms
11:30 a.m. Listen to judge’s critique, Clean up rehearsal areas
12:30 p.m. Go Home (Consider: having a section fun time this afternoon and/or going back to the competition to watch other bands).
NOTE: Students may go back to Five-Star Stadium and watch other bands compete in the afternoon. They will have been stamped for admission in the morning, so they should be able to return for free in the afternoon. Finals begin at 6:00 p.m. and will end at 10:00 p.m.
