Annual Fundraisers

Mile of Money -- August 18, 2018
The Mile of Money fundraiser happens once a year on a Saturday in August at the Hilltop Shopping Center. The fundraiser typically runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm. We encourage all of the Marching Hawks to participate. The Hawks spread out throughout the shopping center in groups and play some of the field music, the fight song, and parade music. The goal is to solicit donations from the shoppers to raise funds for the band general fund.

Corporate Sponsorship
The Band at Horizon High School needs your help to continue its excellence. Transportation, equipment, instruction, music, and instruments are required to provide the educational opportunity for the music students. You can assist these fine students. The HHS Band Parent Association is offering sponsorship opportunities. A sponsor would be recognized by methods such as signage on band transportation vehicles, logos on band apparel, web page advertisement, public address announcements at band events and placement in band programs.

King Soopers Cards
Sign up for the King Soopers Card and then every time you shop the Horizon Band will receive a percentage of your eligible purchases in the form of a cash contribution from the retailer. The best part is, it won’t cost you a thing. Here are a few ways you can join us today!
-
The Horizon Band purchases $25 gift cards from King Soopers and sells them to their families and their friends.
-
Families RELOAD (add value to) their card with any amount up to $500 BEFORE grocery scanning begins (in a separate transaction) at King Soopers. You can reload the card at any register or at Customer Service.
-
Your student receives from King Soopers 4.5% of every dollar you reload onto your card.
Please Note: The card is considered expired if a zero balance remains on the card for longer than 30 days. You’ll have to buy a new card from the BPA if you want to begin using a King Soopers card again once it expires.
To get a card: Cards may be picked up on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, after school in the band room. Connie will be there to distribute cards at that time.**
