Be Prepared…everyone needs First-aid

Here is what you need to know:

  1. We are selling the Right Response First Aid kits beginning now for online sales and Monday, January 14, 2019 through Friday, January 28, 2019 for in person sales. They are priced from $15 – $120 so there is a kit for everyone. These make great gifts. Great to have in sports bags, backpacks, cars, purses, etc.

  2. We need everyone to participate in the fundraiser

  3. Please make checks payable to HHSBPA. Money should be collected when the order is placed. There will be a bin in the band room for completed order forms and money.

  4. All paperwork and money will be due no later than Friday, January 28. 2019.

  5. The kits will be delivered within 10-14 days after the fundraiser ends and order is submitted.

  6. Online ordering is available.  Please email Kirsten Madrid at if interested with students name and email address. This information will be sent to Right Response and they will give the student a link to email friends and family out of town. The student will get the credit for the sale. The student will receive 30% from the online orders (versus 50% from orders taken in person) so please use this option just for out of town family or friends. The products are shipped directly to anyone using the online option.

Annual Fundraisers

Mile of Money -- August 18, 2018

The Mile of Money fundraiser happens once a year on a Saturday in August at the Hilltop Shopping Center. The fundraiser typically runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm. We encourage all of the Marching Hawks to participate. The Hawks spread out throughout the shopping center in groups and play some of the field music, the fight song, and parade music. The goal is to solicit donations from the shoppers to raise funds for the band general fund.

Corporate Sponsorship

The Band at Horizon High School needs your help to continue its excellence. Transportation, equipment, instruction, music, and instruments are required to provide the educational opportunity for the music students. You can assist these fine students. The HHS Band Parent Association is offering sponsorship opportunities. A sponsor would be recognized by methods such as signage on band transportation vehicles, logos on band apparel, web page advertisement, public address announcements at band events and placement in band programs.

King Soopers Cards

Sign up for the King Soopers Card and then every time you shop the Horizon Band will receive a percentage of your eligible purchases in the form of a cash contribution from the retailer. The best part is, it won’t cost you a thing. Here are a few ways you can join us today!

  1. The Horizon Band purchases $25 gift cards from King Soopers and sells them to their families and their friends.

  2. Families RELOAD (add value to) their card with any amount up to $500 BEFORE grocery scanning begins (in a separate transaction) at King Soopers. You can reload the card at any register or at Customer Service.

  3. Your student receives from King Soopers 4.5% of every dollar you reload onto your card.

Please Note: The card is considered expired if a zero balance remains on the card for longer than 30 days. You’ll have to buy a new card from the BPA if you want to begin using a King Soopers card again once it expires.

To get a card: Cards may be picked up on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, after school in the band room.  Connie will be there to distribute cards at that time.**
